My 50th Birthday Party!!!

It was fabboo!!! There was a great mix of people and I love them all even the ones I just met. Kyle rocks!!! He was so nice and let me have my party at his house. It was his party as well, his birthday was May 5th. It was also several other peoples b'day. We played lawn games, built a fire and sang songs we didn't know all the words to. This is where a song book or bard comes in handy, but it was fun. Then we all went to in the house to the screening room and watched Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. It was 2:30 am when we left. Great time was had by all. Can't wait for my next birthday!

Lately....

So I'm not the best at posting as you can see I've only done it once. But it seems so much fun to read everyone else's that I feel guilty not posting so here goes. My most exciting thing I've done lately is buy a sofa, well not a sofa but a large sectional. It's the first piece of furniture we've bought in 20 years. Our old stuff is just not doing it for us any more. I really didn't like to sit in it. We never go in our living room. So I'm so excited about getting this. We had to order it so it will be here in 4 to 6 weeks. Now we have the chore of moving our old furniture out, which is very very very heavy. It the "This End Up" stuff that's made of solid wood and cushions. Our new sectional is a sage green microfiber that is really comfy. Now that we have a new sofa we need to buy a coffee table, an end table, some lamps, and a comfy chair to go with it. This is like buying a horse. The horse is the least expensive thing about owning one.

Now I'm packing for Ymir like so many others I know. Lucky for us we have Friday off so we don't feel so panicked about getting it all together. I have the prizes, the sail I made and the Viking shields for decorations which if I don't pack anything else I'd be good to go. That was my only responsibility for the event. I have packed everything else and then some as Eogan will attest I always bring too much. I'm the "just in case we need it" packer. Good thing we have a large van to pack it in. I also have a box I call "The Box of Infinite Holding" (echo, echo, echo) that I bring to every event. It has what ever you need to run an event. Mostly stuff like office supplies, stuff to hang things with, tools, string, safety pins, staple gun and the like. It's amazing how often we forget all that stuff.

Well I need to end this now 'cause I need to go to bed. We'll see how long it takes me to write something again.

Be gentle, it's my first time....

Okay, I've never had a live journal before so be gentle.

Things I'm doing currently:

Working on my Christmas gift list.
Starting knitting project - Socks

Things I want to do in the near future:

Make some more jewelry. I haven't worked on it in months. There always seems to be something else going on. It's also a lot of stuff to get out and put away. I need a space that I can leave it out.

That brings me to the next thing I want to do, clean out and fix up my craft room. I have way too many projects started as well as too many craft supplies that don't have homes. I need to get some shelves and containers to clean it all up. I'm going to pick just a few crafts to keep and get rid of the rest. My favorite crafts are knitting, beads, rubber stamps/card making. The rest I think I'll find other homes for.

Other stuff I want to do is redecorate some of the rooms in my house. We have a library so to speak. It's really a store room that has bookshelves/books as well as anything that we didn't know what to do with goes in there. That's the part that needs to have some thing done to it. If I could do it the way I want, I would remove every thing from the room and start from scratch.

Today I spent most of the day making the list of stuff for my Christmas projects and setting up my Live Journal. I think I have it set like I want it.

Well I'm sure this was boring to most. I'll try to come up with some more interesting things to write about the next time I post. It won't be as dull as I ate cheese today I promise you!!!
